Big companies like HP have no serious reason to apprehend supply issues because parts-suppliers prefer their orders to the infrequent orders of smaller PC companies. The world's biggest contract laptop maker Quanta Computer Inc. doesn't foresee the deficit problems as well. The company has close relationship with laptop parts suppliers to ensure a constant supply of fundamental laptops components. Noting that the laptop market is stronger than expected, Quanta recently reconsidered its laptop shipment target to 28 million units from 24 million units.
